EDUCATING YOUNG WOMEN TO LIVE AND LEAD

St Margaret's College offers a unique education for girls from Years 1 through to 13 for boarding and day pupils with a strong emphasis on well-being and pastoral care as well as academic success. Programmes are customised to the specific learning needs of girls at every age and stage ensuring each reaches her full potential. Our girls are given every opportunity to flourish and be prepared for success in an ever-changing world. Our pastoral care and spirituality-based programmes build resilient young people who relate well, and who have the confidence and empathy to build meaningful and lasting relationships.

Independent research shows both boys and girls achieve higher academic success in single sex schools. We are proud of our girls' achievements in the 2018 academic results with one of the top pass rates in the world for International Baccalaureate and in New Zealand for NCEA (Level 1 - 97%, Level 2 - 99%, Level 3 - 99%, UE - 98%). We offer many opportunities for our girls to interact with their male counterparts on both an academic, performing arts, sports and social basis, while holding on to the best daily learning environment.
