Health and Physical Education

Physical Education at St Margaret’s College offers students an opportunity to develop their interpersonal and physical skills, apply their knowledge to a range of physical activities, and take on leadership roles through being active. Students are challenged to think critically and demonstrate social and self-responsible actions. Through interactive learning activities, students investigate sociological issues related to physical participation. Holistic wellbeing is promoted and underpins all our programmes. Using movement, we investigate, apply and analyse movement to embed student understanding of concepts and biomechanical principles.

Specialist staff are vibrant in their delivery of the Physical Education and junior Health Education programmes. Collective and collaborative planning ensures that we best meet our students needs. We are well respected amongst our peers and have been used as an example for other schools to follow. Teaching and learning is what drives this enthusiastic group of teachers to embrace, change and build strong relationships with their students.
