Laptop Program

St Margaret’s College has been introducing a 1:1 laptop initiative for its students since 2008 when all Year 9 students were required to equip themselves with an Apple Laptop.

In 2012 all students from Y9 to Y12 are required to have an Apple laptop along with Apple’s Office suite iWorks. Our recommendation for parents purchasing a laptop for 2012 is an Apple MacBook Pro 13”. Other accessories we recommend are a laptop sleeve or glove to protect physically the laptop, and some device to backup work on like memory sticks or a USB powered hard drive. We also recommend extended warranty on the laptop.
