Mrs Bridget Thomas, BA, LLB
Bridget attended St Margaret’s from Year 1 to Year 13, and then completed a BA (in History and Psychology) and a Law degree. She has practised law, and for the last 10 years has been tutoring law at the University of Canterbury. Bridget is married to Andrew and has three children - including 2 girls, Katie who left St Margaret’s at the end of 2007 and Pippa who is currently in Year 13. Bridget serves on the Property Control Group, which will be overseeing the Campus Development Plan and redevelopment of the campus. Bridget serves on the Property sub-committee, which will be overseeing the Campus Development Plan and redevelopment of the campus.

Mr A McGill, BSC (Hons), NZCE
Married to Joanna, Andrew is a current member of St Margaret’s PTA, with a daughter, Charlotte, in Year 6 of the Junior School and a son, Oliver aged eleven. Andrew has a broad background encompassing recruitment, sales, banking and business management. Sales and Marketing Director of recruitment company Reliance Recruitment, he achieved several significant national and international awards in customer services both personally and through his teams. As well as being one of the PTA representatives on the Board Andrew is also Chair of the Property sub-committee and is a trustee on the St Margaret's College Foundation.

Mr P Allen, Synod Representative, MPhil, MSocSci, Dip Ed, Dip Tchg
Peter Allen is an education consultant who works for the University of Canterbury in a part-time capacity as an advisor to school principals and other education managers. Peter Allen has 40 years’ experience in education, including 13 years as principal of Rangiora High School. He is currently Chairperson of the NZ Council for Educational Research, Chair of the NZ Peer Support Trust, Chair of the North Canterbury Alpine Trust, a member of the Secondary Schools Leaders Forum, and the NZQA Scholarship Process Advisory Group. Peter serves on the Compliance and Communication sub-committee and he is the Board contact for anything related to the Primary School.

Kevin Arthur BA (Hons), ACA
Kevin is an accountant with a diverse background that spans finance, venture capital and commercial property development. He has worked for major international corporations in Europe, Asia and Australia, and is currently Development Manager at Calder Stewart Industries Limited. Kevin is married to Debbie and they have two children; Frankie who is in Year 13 and Jenny, who finished Year 13 at the end of 2008. Kevin serves on the Property sub-committee and also the Finance sub-committee.

Mr R Benton, B.Sc Econ (Hons)
Richard is married to Tina, and has 2 daughters at St Margaret's College in Year 10 & Year 13 and who both first started the school in Primary. Richard brings a broad range of advanced strategic skills to the board from his time working overseas with major corporations in the UK & Europe, and is the owner of Christchurch's International Antarctic Centre - one of the most successful and innovative visitor attractions in New Zealand. He serves as the Chair of the Finance sub-committee.

Mrs J Comley-Forbes
Jill is Executive Director for Aon, responsible for managing the Christchurch operation. Aon is New Zealand and the World's largest insurance broker. Jill has 22 years of insurance experience, with 20 in broking. She has a breadth of experience in the insurance and risk management co-ordination of large corporate accounts, and specialises in liability and professional risks. Jill is married to Grant, and they have two daughters at St Margaret’s, in year 5 and year 9. Jill joined the Board in 2008, elected as one of the PTA representatives and also serves on the Compliance and Communication sub-committee.

Sarah Greenslade
Sarah and her husband Jim live in Waikari, North Canterbury. Together they run a farming operation and are partners in a stock firm – Peter Walsh & Associates. They have two daughters, one a Year 10 Boarder at St Margaret’s and the other started in 2010. Sarah served on the Board of Trustees for her local primary school for three years. Sarah will be the Trust Board representative for the boarding community of St Margaret’s College.

Mr H Martyn, LLB, MBA
Hugh is the CEO for PayGlobal Ltd Group. He began his working career as a solicitor and moved into general management in the late 1980s. Before joining PayGlobal he was Group General Manager Rural Services at PGG Wrightson . Hugh has one daughter at St Margaret’s, currently in Year 12. Hugh joined the Board in 2008 and also serves on the Finance sub-committee.

Sue McCormack BA, LLB
Sue is a senior commercial partner at Mortlock McCormack Law. Sue brings a legal and strategic skill base to the board including over 20 years legal experience, directorships of public and private companies along with several government appointed roles. Sue is currently a member of the University of Canterbury Council, trustee of the Clown Doctors New Zealand Charitable Trust and the Silverribbon Foundation and is honorary solicitor for Dress for Success. Sue's daughter Anna is in year 13. Sue is a member of the Compliance and Communication sub-Committee.

Mr B Miles
Bruce is the Governing Director of Miles Group, encompassing five Toyota Dealerships, located from Whangarei to Christchurch, and three further brands in Christchurch Dealerships. The business group turns over $150 million per annum, employing approximately 300 staff. Married to Kay, his youngest daughter is in Year 13 following her two sisters in attending St Margaret’s. Bruce has previously served for four years on the board of his local country school before a move into Christchurch. He is a member of the Finance sub-committee.

Rev'd. Amanda Neil. B. Theol. Dip. Tchg.
Mandy is the current Vicar of St Paul's Anglican Church in Papanui. She was educated at Bishopdale School, Christchurch Girls' High School, Auckland University, and the College of St John the Evangelist, in Auckland. She is married to Geoff, and they have two grown up children. Before becoming ordained, Mandy taught in a number of primary schools throughout Christchurch for almost 30 years. She has also taught English and Music to the Sisters, staff and children at St Christopher's Home in Fiji. She continues to be a fully registered teacher, having been part of the teaching ministry at St Michael's Church School in recent years. Mandy is a member of the Centenary committee.

Mrs E Steele
Emily attended St Margaret's from Year 1 to Year 13 and is married to Glen. Emily brings a strong background in technology and relationship management from her fourteen years in the Information Technology and Telecommunications industries. Emily is a currently employed by TelstraClear as a Business Manager. Emily joined the Board in 2008 and has welcomed the opportunity to give back to the school. She is Chair of the Compliance and Communication sub-committee and is also the St Margaret's College Old Girls Board Representative.
