St Margaret’s College is conveniently located close to the CBD, bus stops and Merivale Mall. We have superb facilities that will compliment your event and we are confident you will enjoy our award winning grounds. St Margaret’s College offers a wide range of facilities that are available outside of school hours and holidays (eg, weekends and school holidays). So if you are a private or corporate group looking for a venue for an event, or perhaps a sports team looking for a training venue and accommodation, look no further. We are positive we can offer the facility solutions you are seeking. We also understand your requirements will be unique and customize and quote for your specific needs.

Weekend and Evening Facilities Hire

St Margaret’s facilities are available to outside organisations or groups for casual or weekly, term break, evening and weekend usage.

Accomodation
We have three boarding houses here at the College – Kilburn House, Cramner House and Julius House. All houses consist of bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry facilities, common rooms and small tearooms. In addition the dining room is situated in Kilburn House. We can accommodate up to 150 guests during term breaks.

Catering
Our qualified chefs & catering staff provide high quality food & service. Our options include breakfast, packed lunches (great for sporting groups etc who are away during the daytime), buffet lunches, dinners, nibbles, morning & afternoon teas.

Chapel
St Margaret’s College Chapel offers a beautiful space for weddings, conferences and meetings. The Chapel has great acoustics, stage lighting, a sound system & data projector. The Chapel comfortably seats around 500 people.

Sports
We have a number of sporting facilities available for hire including our Gymnasium, Fitness Centre, Sports Fields, Swimming Pool (during the summer months) and our ½ size Hockey Turf which is also the most convenient hockey turf to the Christchurch CBD.

Meeting rooms
St Margaret’s College has a number of classrooms available for hire. All classroom enjoy WIFI internet, if you are looking to accommodate more than 20 people, our staff room can accommodate up to 100 people. The staff room has a kitchen facility, however if a more intimate environment is required, our freshly redecorated boardroom is available for groups of up to 12 people, both the board room and the staffroom have audio and projector facilities.
